Nathan’s Famous is the first-ever official hot dog of Major League Baseball

Fox Business excerpt -

Nathan’s Famous (NATH) is the first-ever official hot dog of Major League Baseball under a new sponsorship agreement announced Tuesday.

Hot dogs and America’s pastime are inseparable, so it’s only natural for MLB to name an official representative of the stadium favorite. The National Hot Dog and Sausage Council has estimated that fans eat approximately 20 million hot dogs at big-league games during a single season. Hot dogs are big business in baseball, and Nathan’s new partnership with MLB gives the hot-dog maker the inside track.

Abro Management buys two Brighton Beach rentals from Hudson Companies for $47M

Real Deal excerpt -

Richard Scharf’s Abro Management nabbed two adjacent Brighton Beach rental buildings from the Hudson Companies for $46.9 million, sources told The Real Deal.

Abro, a Long Island-based investment firm, is now the third owner of the luxury rental buildings in just the four years since they’ve been built. GFI Capital Resources Group developed them in 2013, then sold them to David Kramer’s  Hudson Companies for $39.5 million in 2014.

The property at 1125 Banner Avenue rises 11 stories, and the other at 2750 East 12th Street has seven. Together, they have 102 apartments and span 115,000 square feet.

The South Brooklyn buildings’ market-rate rentals range in rent from $2,650 to $4,100

DII signs 2 leases at Neptune Sixth!

Good News!

Commercial; Observer excerpt -

DII Stores has signed two leases at Cammeby’s Internationals 626 Sheepshead Bay Road development in Coney Island, according to the landlord.

In the larger of the two leases, the discount department store, which sells male and female apparel as well as home products, will occupy 11,600 square feet as the retail anchor of the seven-story office and retail building under construction near the intersection of West 8th Street.

The company currently operates a shop at nearby 530 Neptune Avenue between West 6th Street and Marsha Rapaport Way, a building that Cammeby’s owns and plans to demolish for a 42-story residential tower.

“DII is an important part of the Coney Island community, so we’re extremely happy that they will remain a permanent fixture by serving as the anchor tenant,” Jacob Cohen, executive vice president of development at Cammeby’s, said in a statement. “The company will also bring its corporate offices to the property, providing employees with a new, modern work environment.”

Welcome to Coney, NY Cosmos!

Pix11 excerpt -

It won’t just be the Cosmos coming to Brooklyn; the team will bring more foot traffic to local businesses and jobs.

“It’s more than just about soccer and about fans and about people coming to Coney Island, which is great, it’s about economic development,” said Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce president and CEO Andrew Hoan.

Bringing the Cosmos to Coney Island will call for an increase of jobs, such as concessions and in the stands. Local businesses will also benefit with the crowds coming to see the Cosmos.

“The restaurants and the different places in Coney Island are going to be seeing visitors,” said Hoan.
Hoan says hundreds of jobs will be available to Coney Island residents to help with the boost in tourism.

The Cosmos will have their first home game on April 1 against Miami FC.

Fans can score tickets by calling 855-712-6766.
