Shore Theater - PYE Properties

It's wonderful news that somebody wants to bring the Shore Theater to life, but somebody has to ask the question - What has PYE Properties developed before? I found their website here. Kind of confusing. Another property they owned, Royal Gym, I think they sold to Schron for the Neptune Sixth mall development.

It seems like a lot of their other properties have been sold as well.

Update - Seems like their website is down. Here is the cache version from Google

Look at the Kings Theater lineup this year

Absolutely fantastic! We have been to 2 rock concerts there already.

This is exactly what Coney needs for the Shore Theater. Another potential piece for Times Square by the Sea. Just like the PlayStation Theater (formerly Best Buy Theater) in Times Square!

Brooklyn is the real estate story of the decade - Sheepshead Bay and Coney Island drawing increasing investment

REW  excerpts -

“I think Brooklyn is the story, potentially of the decade, in real estate,” said Kliegerman. “The demand for property in Brooklyn the last couple years has been incredibly high. The pace of appreciation in the condo market has been incredibly well-received.

Back in the market, between 2007 and 2011, Brooklyn was truly a value play, and a lot of the product was not as sophisticated, but it’s at a higher level now.”

Though Manhattan has always commanded the highest real estate prices compared to the other four boroughs, Kliegerman sees a long road of opportunity for Brooklyn.

“The good news is Brooklyn is a very big borough, and has a lot more opportunity for continued growth,” he said, mentioning Downtown Brooklyn, Bushwick, and even Sheepshead Bay and Coney Island as areas increasingly drawing investors and buyers.

“I think Brooklyn has a lot of opportunity – probably more than Manhattan.”

2016 Polar Bear Swim

It's going to be a Great Development Year!

Last night we were at Coney Applebee's for dinner, Abe Stark Rink for skating, and the Parachute Jump for Fireworks! As Coney Island continues it's year round development, ConeyRocks will continue to follow all the stories as many of the internet bloggers continue to fight to keep Coney Island living in the past. The New Coney will move forward. That's a Guarantee!

In 2016 we should see the completion of the New Seaside Park Amphitheater, the continued development of the New Aquarium, and the beginnings of the development Neptune/Sixth - a New Coney Shopping Mall, about 1/3 the retail and commercial space of Kings Plaza, along with an adjacent 40 story residential building! This mall will complete the year round vision for the New Coney Island.

5 Anchors, 4 lined up on the Boardwalk, and one on Neptune Ave. just a couple blocks off the main strip.

1. New Amphitheater
2. MCU Park
3. Luna Park
4. New Aquarium
5. New Shopping Mall
