Prospect Heights is now the new site for affordable housing in the borough.
Mayor Bill de Blasio, Brooklyn officials
and community members broke ground at 535 Carlton Ave. Monday. The
development will bring 298 units to Pacific Park, formerly known as the
Atlantic Yards site.
The mayor says the apartments will be
affordable to low, moderate, and middle income households. It will be a
mix of studios and apartments with bedrooms for families. The ground
floor will also have retail space.
